We all know by now that smoking is TERRIBLE for your body and especially for the skin. What does it do exactly?
1) Smoking constricts the blood vessels in your skin causing it to starve itself of oxygen. Your skin lives off of oxygen, and by smoking you are basically killing it. The results are deeper lines, grey color, and overall lax tone.
2)Smoking delays the healing of wounds and increases carbon minoxide. A smoker will not have the same ability as a non smoker to heal and to keep their skin healthy.
3)DRYNESS. People, dry equals wrinkles. No moisture means sags, bags and folds. Sound scary?
4)This is a no-brainer, but smoking causes wrinkles around the eyes and mouth.
5)FREE RADICAL DAMAGE. Yes, free radicals. aka pollution. Would you put a bag on your head and sit in in front of an exhaust pipe? Smoking has the same effect, causing thinning and sagging due to the collage lost.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST..No laser, filler, botox, peel, or surgery can fix the damages from smoking. Quit now to save what is left of your beautiful skin!
