Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Repeat. Breakfast, lunch, dinner...Snack...Does your week ever feel like that? Wanna make your meals more interesting? Ever thought of "feeding" your skin? Flooding it with the nutrients it deserves, to be it's beautiful best? Here are a few tips to nourish yourself from the inside out, and to ensure a better "looking" future!
1)Keep your plate colorful. I don't mean the actual plate itself, but the vegetables and fruits! The more bright color, the more antioxidants it has. Take for example, a red bell pepper over a green pepper. The red bell pepper holds oodles more of the wonder giant "antioxidant" which pushes free radicals aka damage inducers away from your skin and body! Sounds good to me!
2) Fat? Yes! Fatty acids actually. Essential fatty acids stregthen the membrane of your skin cells! The acids also allow for waste product to flow out of the cell easier, thus creating healthier cells and skin. The cell membrane also holds water, so if it is strong, it is going to hold water to keep your skin plump! The best way to get this? Fish oil supplements. Omega 3 and Omega 6. Give it a few weeks, you will notice a change!!!
3) The easiest of all of these? GREEN TEA! Have 1-3 cups a day! The amazing substance is anti inflammatory, using polyphenols as it's protector. What are polyphenols? Powerful antioxidant. What is an antioxidant? Antioxidants are substances or nutrients in our foods which can prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body. Check out this link below, to get these basics on how to sneak these into your diet. http://www.healthcastle.com/antioxidant.shtml
With all of that being said, when you are grocery shopping, think "what will give me energy naturally, what will improve my digestion, what will fulfill my dietary needs, and WHAT WILL FEED MY SKIN?!
